Organic company Verhoeven Melkgeiten is located on the edge of the Loonse en de Drunense Duinen National Park in the Netherlands. There are 1200 goats and 375 lambs on the 42-hectare farm.

The goats can walk outside in the summer, otherwise the deep-freeze barn offers a lot of space for the animals. They see working together with nature as a strength. For example, the goats are covered by natural cover and in the season that suits it best. The lambs are therefore all born in the spring.

Verhoeven works together with other organic farmers in the field of exchange of feed and manure. For Brabants Landschap, they ensure by grazing lambs that there is not too much vegetation in the Leemkuilen nature reserve, so that the tree frog has a good habitat.

The company employs a number of part-timers who find it difficult to keep up with society.
