Johan and Ineke Braakman have an animal-friendly, organic pig farm named Boerderij Kelholt. The existing buildings have been adapted to organic farming and can accommodate 350 fattening pigs. The pigs are delivered to the Groene Weg (Dutch for Green Way) butchers.
The animals lie on straw and, if necessary, they can go outside. They are fed ready-to-eat chunks made from organically grown raw materials, so grown without the use of fertilizers and pesticides.
