Centenary Bank is the second largest bank in Uganda in terms of the scope of its services. Its easy accessibility and relatively low rates have given Centenary Bank the reputation of being a bank for all Ugandans. Centenary Bank is market leader in the microfinance sector in Uganda and is also active in rural areas. Demand for loans remains high. Hivos-Triodos Fund, Triodos Microfinance Fund, Triodos Fair Share Fund and Triodos Sustainable Finance Foundation have provided loans that will enable Centenary Bank to continue to expand its microfinance portfolio. Hivos-Triodos Fund is a shareholder in the bank; a senior officer from Triodos Bank represents the fund on the Board of Directors.
