St Ives Community Land Trust are tackling the lack of affordable homes for local people in Cornwall. The trust purchased six flats using a combination of donations, grants and a loan from Triodos. With remodelling and renovation to address environmental sustainability, the flats will not only offer affordable rental rates, but also lower energy bills for tenants. Bringing the flats into community ownership means that they can be protected as vital good quality accommodation for local residents.
